Elder Hymas' Italian Mission

This week we did missionary work. Today we saw some cool places, this big cave in Italy or somewhere. What did you guys all think of general conference? I liked it a ton, I listened in English for all of them, but for some there was ALSO Italian, like I had a earbud in for English but the ward was watching in Italian. I liked when the Italian translatior said Hobbit. I liked Anziano Boom's talk and name. He said something that I liked, something along the lines of create a atmosphere of love so change can happen and wants to happen, you don't need to criticize and remind people of what they can do better all the time, they know. I also like what President Hinckley say about love and criticism and stuff, like sometimes criticism is needed, but you need to do so in such a loving Christ Like way.  I hope all of my pictures I ever post make you jealous, that is why they are there lolololol jk. 6 weeks down in Italy, a few more to go lolololol. This week was really good, we had transfers, the greenie sister that was here with me, is now training here so we will be getting another brand new missionary. We met with Victor a recent convert, but he hasn't come to Church for a while,  cause he was working in the tomato place, but he is awesome,  he really loves his family,  and God, and the gospel. We should meet with Daniele soon. I am still getting absolutely eviscerated by the language but whatever. It was cool reading this week in Alma about the Anti Christ. It is really cool to see that his arguments against religion and Christ are they exact same ones people use now, like the exact same. It really just shows that God is real and knows what he is doing because then a high priest  and Alam respond to those accusations and questions. This week was good, we had exchanges this week. I was with Anziano Hibbard, he is great he bought me a Pizza and apparently he doesn't buy anyone anything so. We had a missionary training yesterday in Millan and I saw some MTC missionaries. We had another lesson with Daniele, he is so awesome, he doesn't yet have a testimony of something's, but he really has a desire and knows what it takes. I got chocolate milk today  yummy, I love everyone so much a love being able to learn and grow I love Jesus Christ. I love the Gospel.  What else happened, I don't know. I forget. A missionary who came in like 75 visited for the first time sense they opened Italy up, it is awesome seeing their joy when they see the ward, cause when they were here there was no one. But we got to visit a very inactive member with him who was baptized right before he came so cool, she was soooooo happy to see him.

This week was really good. We had a Family Home evening with a recent convert and a strong family and the recent convert, Betty, invited 2 other people whom are non members. So awesome Betty loved it tons, and it was all thanks to the one member (I think I talked about him last week, but I can't remember, so if not rip rip). And that leads me to this  Member work is so so important, people need friends, they NEED THEM. We have this one lady who we visit with sometimes, she hasn't gone to church in like 30 years, because some of the people weren't nice, that is sooo sad. I was also reading a story from Gordon B Hinckley and one of the people he converted, who was a bright young fellow, fell away from the Church soonish after because he had a calling and made a mistake, when he did so one of the people he was with as Hinckley put it "was a man I can best describe as being short on love and strong on criticism." Hello all. This week was super good. Still have yet to to a pday really, because on wendsday we had a mission thing so we went to Milan tuesday night and stayed at the APs house and we stayed with some other Elders, must notible Anziano Lex (His brother served with Sabrina) He has a better German accent then Sabrina. And the other notible one was Anziano Szvoboda, who was in the mtc with me. Then the next day we went and listend to Anziano DeFao, he was really good and inspiring, one of the things that stuck out to me the most it don't aks yourself "What more can I do" but ask yourself " What more can I become" because if we strive to become disciples of Christ we will have more joy and bring more joy to others. Other things that happend, So on Church on Sunday after we were talking with members and saw a face we didn't know so we went up and talked to him, He is lives in Germany and he come down to Italy every month for a week, He is dating a person in ...

CIao Ciao Ciao Ciao Come siete? I am ready to leave the MTC, get me out of here, lol. My testimony has grown a lot at the MTC, though prayer, discussions, and the Lord. It is truly amazing how you can completely open up yourself to the Lord in prayer and the instant peace you feel. Something that I have noticed though being really super obedient is that it is a lot easier to love people, like you just want to more and you are able to feel more joy out of it, and you should because you are a servant of the Lord. I have to pack to go to Italy, that is going to be hard, the packing part. I NEED MY MOOOOMMMMYYYYYYYYY!!!!! I should be fine though, I will just make my collega do it hehehehe. I made really good relationships with the Anziani and the Sorelle and the Choro tachy and the shima tachy, I guess that is just because of our united purpose in the Gospel.  I am acutally super happy that I was in the Japanese branch instead of with the rest of the Italians and Romanians and stuff ju...

Lost at see. The days blur by It is hard to recall if something happens yesterday or like 5 days ago This week was good, we had our first TRC, that stands for something, but was teach and talk to random members that volunteer and speak Italian. It is weird though, because we have learned a lot of language, but you still don’t feel like you are doing enough. On Sunday we are getting a different district leader, I think it is going to be my Collega Anziano Dobson. My District and Branch is super cool, I predict when Isabelle will go on her mission she will be a Shima, that is sister in Japanese, well kinda. MTC IS MTC. this is a email Anziano Hymas
